You know that saying, “It’s impossible to be your own client”? I can now confirm — 1000% true.
After years of helping other business owners bring their dream brands and websites to life, I realized my own was ready for an upgrade. Courtney Lynette Creative Co. has evolved so much in the past couple of years, and while the heart of what I do hasn’t changed — creating elevated, personality-packed brands and websites — how I do it has grown in confidence, clarity, and color.
This refresh is bold, intentional, and a whole lot more me. The colors are brighter, the fonts are playful yet polished, and my new brand shoot? Let’s just say it’s bursting with personality — because that’s exactly who my clients are, too. They’re not afraid of color. They love celebrating what they’ve built. They’re bold, confident, and ready to stand out.
The script font feels like a note from a friend — personal, inviting, and full of warmth — while the main typography adds structure and sophistication. I wanted this new look to strike that perfect balance between professional and approachable, elevated and energetic.
Beyond the visuals, I refined the experience. My services are now crystal clear, the FAQ answers all those questions I get time and time again, and the new resources page is loaded with freebies, favorite tools, and exclusive discounts to some of the sites and services I swear by (and recommend to every client!).
And maybe my favorite update of all — the portfolio. It’s finally filled with the hundreds of projects we’ve been so proud to create over the past few years. Seeing all that work in one place felt like a little victory lap — a celebration of how far this business has come and how many incredible brands I’ve been lucky to design for.
While CLCC is still relatively young, this refresh felt like the right moment to pause and reflect. I’m more confident than ever in who I am as a designer, who I serve, and how I want my clients to feel when they work with me.
If you’ve been thinking about giving your own brand or website a facelift — consider this your sign. Growth deserves to be celebrated, and your online presence should evolve right alongside you.
