Hey friend!
In 2012, while still in college, I began offering calligraphy services for friends getting married. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a thriving business where I helped people celebrate life’s biggest moments—weddings, anniversaries, and more—through my hand-lettered designs.
As the years went on, I expanded my offerings to include custom event details like signs, envelopes, and even party supplies and holiday ornaments. I invested in a laser cut machine and turned it into a full-on product business, even teaching hundreds of students the art of calligraphy in workshops across Southern California. It was a dream come true, and it was such a special time where I got to be part of countless people’s most memorable moments.
But after the birth of my daughter in 2020, I realized I needed a change. PoppyJack Shop had grown into something I was incredibly proud of, but the physical demands of running a product-based business were starting to wear on me. So, I made the decision to transition to something that aligned more with my passions and my lifestyle: Courtney Lynette Creative Co.
Before launching Courtney Lynette Creative Co., I ran a creative business called PoppyJack Shop, where I learned first-hand what it’s like to build something from the ground up.
My Story
With over 10 years of experience as a designer and a latent interest in web design, I set out to build a business that helps other small business owners like you bring their brand and website dreams to life. I know what it’s like to juggle a million things at once, to be in the weeds of growing a business from the ground up, and to feel the pressure of building a brand that reflects your hard work and passion.
That’s why I’m so passionate about working with my clients, especially those in the event industry. I’ve been in your shoes, and I know the unique challenges you face. Whether you're a balloon stylist, event planner, or small business owner in a creative field, I understand what it takes to balance it all—and I’m here to take the overwhelm out of building your brand and website.

My husband and I started as long-distance pen pals before I flew from California to Minnesota for our first (obviously successful) date.
